FOODS THAT PROVED BENEFICIAL IN / AS LOVE - ROMANTIC TIME.

Romantic LOVE Foods

FOODS THAT PROVED BENEFICIAL IN / AS LOVE - ROMANTIC TIME.

The following is a list of foods that proved beneficial as aphrodisiacs. Some are because of their shape and some because of their aromas, while others due to chemical basis for their passion powers. Detailed studies are required to understand the modus operandi deeply.

Honey
In medieval times, people drank Mead, a fermented drink made from honey, to promote sexual desire. In ancient Persia, couples drank Mead every day for a month known as the "honey month" or "honeymoon"; after they married in order to get in the right frame of mind for a successful marriage. Honey is rich in B vitamins (needed for testosterone production) as well as boron (helps the body metabolize and use estrogen). Some studies have suggested that it may also enhance blood levels of testosterone.

POLLUTION LINKED TO DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION RISK

POLLUTION LINKED
TO
DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION RISK

A study of more than 4,000 black women in Los Angeles, lived in areas with higher levels of traffic-related air pollution were at increased risk of diabetes and hypertension....
In the study at Boston University it was found that black women living in neighborhoods with high levels of nitrogen oxides, pollutants found in traffic exhaust, were 25% more likely to develop diabetes and 14% more likely to develop hypertension than those living in sections with cleaner air.

Holistic Herbal Diabetes Care & Cure - Happy Healthy 2012

DIABETES
means that your blood sugar (glucose) is high. Most of the food we eat is turned into sugar for our bodies to use for energy. A hormone called insulin, which is produced by the pancreas, helps sugar get into most cells of the body. If your body doesn't make enough insulin and/or if the insulin doesn't work the way it should, sugar can't get into your cells and instead stays in your blood, raising your blood sugar level.

AFFECTS OF DIABETES - HEAD TO TOE...
When your blood sugar (glucose) stays too high for a long time, it can damage blood vessels and nerves. This damage can affect many of the organ systems in your body, and it can raise your risk of complications.

NO one wants to think about these possibilities — no one really wants to. But The good news is that you can prevent-delay such problems by controlling your blood sugar using Holistic Herbal Care & Cure System & taking good care of yourself.

RISK Factors

High Blood Pressure - Hypertension may not cause symptoms, but over time it damages the heart, other organs and blood vessels. A blood pressure reading measures the force of blood as it presses against the  inside walls of the blood vessels (arteries). The measurement is written as 2 numbers:
systolic blood pressure (top number) is the force when the heart pumps;
diastolic blood pressure (bottom number) is the force between heart pumps.

Cholesterol - Your body needs cholesterol to function properly; it helps your body digest food, produce hormones, and build new cells. However, as with many things in life, too much of a good thing can become bad.

HDL (Good) Cholesterol - works to clear cholesterol from the blood, helping  to keep arteries healthy. When you have type 2 diabetes, HDL cholesterol  levels  are often  lower than normal. This means that less cholesterol  can be cleared from the blood.

LDL (Bad) Cholesterol - can damage arteries. When you have type 2 diabetes,  LDL cholesterol is often
smaller and denser than normal and may be especially dangerous  to artery walls.

Triglycerides - are another type of a not good fat in the blood. Having type 2  diabetes can lead to
triglyceride  levels that are higher than they should be.

YOU can reduce your risks…
Work with your holistic health care team to determine the right blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol levels for you, and track your numbers. According to the American Heart Association  (AHA) guidelines, appropriate targets for people with diabetes are:

  • Blood pressure: less than 130/80 mmHg.
  • HDL cholesterol: greater than 40 mg/dL for men and greater than 50 mg/dL for women.
  • LDL cholesterol: less than 100 mg/dL.
  • Triglycerides: less than 150 mg/dL.
  •  Stay at a healthy weight by being active and eating healthy foods.
  • Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity most days.
  • Follow the healthy eating plan you work out with your holistic health care team.
  • If you smoke, QUIT NOW.
  • Take holistic herbal safe medicines - the way your physician tells you.
  • Also, regular check-ups can help prevent problems or find them early,
  • when they can be treated and managed, so see your holistic health team regularly.

Brain - Stroke: A stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain becomes damaged or blocked. People with diabetes often have high blood pressure, which is the biggest risk factor for stroke. It's important that you know the signs and symptoms of stroke.

Eyes: Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness across the world. High blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels in the eyes and can lead to the growth of new blood vessels there. These new blood vessels are not as strong and can leak or burst. This condition is called Diabetic Retinopathy. Caught early, retinopathy is generally treatable, so be sure to have your eyes checked at least once a year.

Mouth: For people with diabetes, the risk of developing gum disease is twice that of someone without diabetes. Gum disease can lead to tooth loss and the inflammation that results has been linked to heart disease. See dental physician twice a year. Brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day. Have your teeth cleaned at least twice a year.

Heart: Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in people with diabetes. People with type 2 diabetes are 2 to 4 times more likely to have heart disease and stroke than people without the disease. Be smart about your heart, and pay attention to your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar levels.

Kidney: High blood sugar and high blood pressure can lead to a kidney disease called Nephropathy. In fact, 35% of all people undergoing dialysis for kidney disease have diabetes. As with other diabetes-related complications, a contributing factor is damage to tiny blood vessels in your kidney from high blood sugar levels. A warning sign is protein in your urine, which your health care provider should check for during visits. It's also important for kidney health to be sure that your blood pressure is well controlled. Have your kidneys tested annually or as recommended by your physician.

Sexual Problems: In people with type 2 diabetes, sexual problems can occur when the nerves that regulate sexual response are damaged. This nerve damage is called Neuropathy. For men, this can mean problems getting an erection or ejaculating. For women, this can mean problems getting aroused or lubricated enough to have comfortable sex. Talk with your health care team about any sexual symptoms you may notice.

Nerve Damage and Foot Problems: Many patients with diabetes have damage to the nerves of the feet and legs. Nerve damage, circulation problems, and infections can cause serious foot problems. By taking care of your feet daily, you can avoid complications (which, in severe cases, may include amputation). Look at your feet every day to see whether you have scratches, cracks, cuts, or blisters —and bring them to notice of your holistic health care team. Keep your feet clean and protected from heat, cold and any type of injury.

Know Your SALADs

Know Your SALADs

Salad is any of a wide variety of dishes, including vegetable salads; salads of pasta, legumes, eggs, or grains; mixed salads incorporating meat, poultry, or seafood; and fruit salads. They may include a mixture of cold and hot, often including raw vegetables or fruits.

Salads may be served at any point during a meal, such as:

§  Appetizer salads- light salads to stimulate the appetite as the first course of the meal.

§  Side salads- to accompany the main course as a side dish.

§  Main course salads- usually containing a portion of protein, such as chicken breast or slices of beef.

§  Palate-cleansing salads- to settle the stomach after the main course.

§  Dessert salads- sweet versions usually containing gelatin or whipped cream.

TYPE OF SALADS

Green salad

Green salad or garden salad is most often composed of leafy vegetables such as lettuce varieties, spinach, or rocket (arugula). Due to their low caloric density, green salads are a common diet food. The salad leaves may be cut or torn into bite-sized fragments and tossed together (tossed salad), or may be placed in a predetermined arrangement (composed salad).

Green salads include leaf lettuce and leafy vegetables with a sauce or dressing. Other salads are based on pasta, noodles, or gelatin. Most salads are traditionally served cold, although some, such as south German potato salad, are served warm.
Green salads and other salads, including leaf lettuces are generally served with a dressing, as well as various garnishes such as nuts or croutons, and sometimes with the addition of meat, fish, pasta, cheese, eggs, or whole grains.

Vegetable salad

Vegetables other than greens may be used in a salad. Common vegetables used in a salad include cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, spring onions, red onions, avocado, carrots, celery, and radishes. Other ingredients, such as olives, hard boiled egg, artichoke hearts, heart of palm, roasted red bell peppers, green beans, croutons, cheeses, meat (e.g. bacon, chicken), or seafood (e.g. tuna, shrimp), are sometimes added to salads.

Bound salad

A bound salad can be composed or tossed. They are assembled with thick sauces such as mayonnaise. One portion of a true bound salad will hold its shape when placed on a plate with an ice-cream scoop. Examples of bound salad include tuna salad, pasta salad, chicken salad, egg salad, and potato salad - American-style potato salad with egg and mayonnaise. Bound salads are often used as sandwich fillings and are popular at picnics and barbecues.

Main course salads

Main course salads or dinner salads or entrée salads in North America may contain grilled or fried chicken pieces, seafood such as grilled or fried shrimp or a fish steak such as tuna, mahi-mahi, or salmon. Sliced steak, such as sirloin or skirt, can be placed upon the salad. Caesar salad, Chef salad, Cobb salad, Greek salad, and Michigan salad are types of main course salad.

Fruit salads

Fruit salads are made of fruit, and include the fruit cocktail that can be made fresh or from canned fruit. With or without dressings like curd, whipped cream, ice cream etc.

Dessert salads

Dessert salads are often sweet and rarely include leafy greens content. Common variants are made with gelatin or whipped cream viz. jello salad, pistachio salad, snickers salad, glorified rice, and cookie salad popular in parts of the Mid-western US.

Obese Kids Have a Vitamin D Deficiency

Obese Kids Have a Vitamin D Deficiency

Overweight kids have lower levels of vitamin D irrespective of season, sex, or race and ethnicity....

According to a cross-sectional study, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, 92% of obese children had inadequate levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH)]D), compared with 68% of slimmer kids and half of the obese children had vitamin D deficiency, compared with 22% of thinner kids. Also these obese children had signs of Insulin resistance i.e. pre-disposition for Diabetes in future.

The findings come from a snapshot of 411 children, ages 6 through 16, whose body mass index (BMI) was at least in the 95th percentile for age, and who had been referred to an obesity center at Children's Medical Center Dallas.

They were compared with 87 children -- matched to the obese group by season when the data was acquired, age, and race/ethnicity -- who were below the 85th percentile of BMI for age.

They were a convenience sample of otherwise healthy patients being treated for congenital hypothyroidism, acquired primary hypothyroidism, or isolated growth hormone deficiency.

The researchers measured levels of 25(OH)D, blood sugar, and serum insulin, as well as BMI and blood pressure. Participants were also asked about their diet, including daily intake of soda, juice, and milk, average daily fruit and vegetable intake, and whether or not they routinely skipped breakfast.

For this analysis, inadequate vitamin D was defined as a serum level of 25(OH)D below 75 nmol/L (30 ng\mL) and deficiency was defined as below 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL).

The analysis showed that, on average, the obese children had a serum 25(OH)D concentration of 49 nmol/L, compared with 67.5 nmol/L for the slimmer cohort. The greater intake of soda and juice, as well as routinely skipping breakfast intake, were associated with lower serum 25(OH)D.

Researchers commented that the study cannot prove a cause-and-effect relationship but "does suggest that low vitamin D levels may play a role in the development of type two diabetes."

"Ray of hope for Impotence - Erectile Dysfunction"

"Ray of hope for Impotence

Erectile Dysfunction"

Not many people are aware that in most cases physical rather than psychological causes are responsible for impotence (ED), and that ED is usually eminently curable by holistic herbal remedies without any side-effects.

WHY???,

The Sexual impotence is perhaps the most poorly understood and mismanaged of all medical disorders. Two factors are responsible for this unfortunate state of affairs.
  1. Myths, superstition, guilt, taboo and the stigma attached to anything sexual in the minds of the people.

  1. Bottomless sexual ignorance: on account of which people continue to believe that impotence is something that is largely psychological in origin.
It is said to afflict as much as 10 percent of the male population. Above the age of 40, nearly 52 % of men are affected. It is estimated that 3 in every 10 males suffers from this problem, excluding un-disclosed and un-diagnosed sufferers.

Contrary to popular belief, impotence is almost never an 'ALL OR NONE' phenomenon. Most laymen (and several doctors) believe that a man can either have an erection of very good quality or none at all. Most men with erectile dysfunction have normal desire and can obtain an erection, only the erection is not hard enough or doesn't last long enough,

It is believed that Impotence is a result of Stress and lack of sex education, which does not require any medical treatment. But, it is now known that in 75-90 percent of cases, one or another physiological cause. Natural herbal treatment is safe, mild and highly effective in managing such subjects with no side effects.
What then causes impotence (ED)? Although impotence can afflict anyone from 13year of age to 90year of age and is associated with a wide variety of clinical conditions and diseases (see box above) the basic mechanisms causing impotence are mentioned below. All of these can be accurately identified using modern investigative techniques and treat to the level best by herbal remedies free of heavy metals.
CLINICAL STATES:-

A.    Impotent since birth
B.     Impotence sets in after years of normal sex (Secondary Impotence).

CAUSES OF SECONDARY IMPOTENCE

1.      Diabetesmellitus
2.      Hypertension (high blood pressure)
3.      Atherosclerosis
4.      Renal (kidney) failure
5.      Heart disease
6.      Neurological disorders - multiple sclerosis, stroke, paraplegia, spinal cord lesions, Parkinsonism, etc.
7.      Injuries - sudden - e.g. pelvic and perineal
8.      Injuries - gradual - as in bicycle-riders etc.
9.      Surgery-operations on bowel, rectum, bladder, rectroperitoneum, spine, urethra, prostate etc.
10.  Local e.g. Peyronie's disease.
11.  Effect of strong heroic medication.

Arteriogenic: Where the arteries supplying blood to the penis do not bring in enough blood to cause an erection. This can occur because of a narrowing of the arteries as in the elderly, diabetics (as many as 50 per cent of all diabetics are impotent) and those with high blood pressure or because of injury to the genital region which causes a block in the artery to the penis.

Today, it has been established that impotence (ED) is a warning sign, for future cardiovascular diseases like heart attacks and strokes. Diseases of arteries affect the smaller arteries (penis) before they affect the larger ones (heart and brain).

Venogenic: Venogenic impotence is extremely common, as much as 30-70 percent of all impotence subjects. Some men have venogenic impotence from birth (primary). Such men have never had a rigid erection all their lives. Others develop venogenic impotence suddenly after years of normal sexuality (secondary).

Neurogenic: Many things can disturb the nerve supply to the penis. Injuries to the back (vertebral column), pelvic or perineal region. In some case following operations on the rectum, prostate, urethra, spine, retro-peritoneum, urinary bladder etc.

Endocrinologic (Hormonal): This occurs when there is an imbalance or insufficiency of sex hormones in the blood stream. It accounts for about 5 to 10 per cent of all organic impotence. Generally, hormonal changes affect the libido (or sex drive) rather than the quality of the erection per se. A variety of disease conditions can cause these changes.

Mixed: Sometimes, more than one factor can be operative in the same patient. Such patients generally have systemic disease. Notable examples are diabetes, kidney failure and liver failure.

The Sexual impotence is perhaps the most poorly understood and mismanaged of all medical disorders. It is said to afflict as much as 10 percent of the male population. It is estimated that 3 in every 10 males suffers from this problem, excluding un-disclosed and un-diagnosed sufferers. Most men with erectile dysfunction have normal desire and can obtain an erection, only the erection is not hard enough or doesn't last long enough.
